10-Year-Old Maldivian Singer Rubyn Shines on Sri Lanka’s Got Talent

Mariyam Rubyn Muaz, a 10-year-old singer from the Maldives, has captivated the judges on the third season of Sri Lanka’s Got Talent. Performing Katy Perry’s 'Roar' on the Sirasa TV show, Rubyn received high praise from the judging panel. Judge Danu Innasitambi expressed his delight with her performance, while Stephanie Sirivadena commended her 'beautiful, rich, textured voice.' Rubyn secured a spot in the competition’s second round with votes from all four judges. Hailing from a musical family, Rubyn’s father is a singer, and her aunt, Aishath Inaya, is a renowned Maldivian musician. She has previously competed in local events, including the school children’s song contest and the show 'Eh Handhaanuga.' Her mother, Fathimath Hamna, shared that Rubyn is currently attending vocal classes in Sri Lanka to prepare for the competition. Many Maldivians are cheering her on, celebrating her success on an international stage.
