344 Students Graduate from Maldives National Service Programme

A total of 344 students have graduated from the Maldives National Service Programme following an intensive civic and leadership training programme. The graduation ceremony was held in Lh. Maafilaafushi and attended by Defence Minister Ghassan Maumoon. All participants received certificates of completion, with 96% achieving the additional Certificate III in Civic Education and Leadership. The programme, a key initiative of President Mohamed Muizzu, aims to foster nationalism, responsible citizenship, and a sense of duty among the youth. Subjects covered included nationalism, leadership, Islamic studies, physical training, first aid, firefighting, and self-defence. The training was conducted by Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) instructors and relevant government ministries. The programme seeks to prepare young people to serve the nation during major threats and disasters.
