Addu City Council Extends Participation Opportunities in Carnival

The Addu City Council has announced an extension for participation opportunities in the upcoming carnival. The event, organized by the council, aims to showcase local businesses and cultural activities. Interested parties are encouraged to apply through the online Google Form by January 15, 2026, at 14:00. The carnival is set to run from February 1 to February 15, 2026, daily from 16:00 to 23:00. The council has also highlighted that businesses registered with the local commerce registry, online businesses, and cultural participants will have priority. Additionally, stall spaces measuring 10 feet by 10 feet will be available for a fee of MVR 1500. The council emphasized that the carnival will not only boost local commerce but also highlight Addu's rich cultural heritage.
