Addu City Council Signs Agreement with Oxica to Develop Digital Hub

Local News ·
Addu City Council has signed an agreement with Maldivian technology company Oxica (OXIQA) to develop the 'Addu Digital Hub', a project aimed at digitizing council services. The agreement was signed by Addu City Mayor Ali Nizar and Oxica founder and Managing Director Ismail Kalim. The hub will offer over 65 services across 15 areas via web and mobile applications in both Dhivehi and English. The initiative is expected to reduce travel to council offices and streamline paperwork for residents. Oxica previously developed the 'Kuri' higher education management system for the government. The company stated that the hub will feature robust workflows and accurate data, and will integrate with relevant government systems. Work is now underway to finalize requirements and plan system integration, with the project to proceed through defined stages of development, testing, and launch.
