Addu Equatorial Hospital CEO Addresses Concerns Over Administrative Staff Performance

Politics ·
Dr. Ibrahim Yasir Ahmed, the Chief Executive Officer of Addu Equatorial Hospital (AEH), has responded to concerns raised about the performance of the hospital's administrative staff. In an interview with a local social media platform, Dr. Yasir acknowledged that while there are challenges in ensuring the administrative staff perform their duties effectively, many of them are trained and capable of handling their responsibilities. He emphasized that the focus should remain on the clinical staff, who deliver the most critical services. Dr. Yasir also highlighted ongoing efforts to improve administrative efficiency and address any shortcomings. Some staff members reported to Raajje.mv that Dr. Yasir has been making statements that could be interpreted as defamatory towards the administrative staff, questioning their competence and suggesting that they are not fulfilling their roles adequately. However, the hospital has achieved significant milestones in recent years, including completing 41 medical services under the MDDP initiative between 2020 and 2023, with an additional nine services planned for the next two years. The hospital has also undergone leadership changes, with Dr. Yasir taking on the role of CEO and working to enhance its operations amid growing public scrutiny.
