Addu's Electricity Issue Resolved Temporarily After Power Outage

Addu Atoll's connected islands have once again experienced a temporary electricity outage, as reported by Fenaka Corporation. According to Fenaka, the power outage occurred due to an issue with the engine, but the problem was swiftly addressed, and electricity was restored. Fenaka issued a statement assuring customers that their team is working diligently to prevent such incidents in the future. Addu Atoll has faced recurring electricity issues over the years, particularly in the interconnected areas of Hithadhoo, Maradhoo, Maradhoo-Feydhoo, and Feydhoo. In a recent visit to Addu, President Mohamed Muizzu announced a project to install a 32-megawatt engine in Hithadhoo, upgrade the distribution system, and allocate a budget of 59 million dollars to resolve the electricity crisis in the region.
