Applications opened for Local Government Authority board membership

The President's Office has opened applications for a vacant civil society member position on the board of the Local Government Authority (LGA). The vacancy was announced under Article 59 (a)(2)(iii) of the law on administration of administrative divisions of the Maldives on a decentralised basis. The seat became vacant after a civil society organisation's position on the authority's board fell empty. Application forms can be downloaded from the President's Office website. Forms will be received from today until Sunday, 1 November 2026, excluding official holidays, between 08:30 and 12:00 at the President's Office.
