Armenia's Shirak Avia has announced the launch of direct flights to the Maldives for the upcoming winter season. The airline will operate weekly flights from Yerevan to Malé, with a technical stop in Muscat, Oman. Services will commence on November 14 and run until March, with departures scheduled every Thursday. The flights will be operated using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The new route is part of Shirak Avia's winter schedule expansion to additional destinations. In related news, Velana International Airport's Terminal 2 (the former international terminal) will be used by 10 airlines during the peak winter season to efficiently handle the influx of tourists. The Maldives Airports Company (MACL) stated that the arrangement will create a more comfortable environment with additional space and check-in counters, ensuring smooth service for all travelers.
