BML Enables International Payments for Local SMEs via Payment Gateway

Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced a new arrangement enabling small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to receive international payments through the BML Payment Gateway. The service is being introduced in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development, Transport and Trade and the Business Centre Corporation (BCC). Under the new facility, local SMEs that provide goods and services in the international market will be able to receive payments in US Dollars from overseas buyers. BML confirmed that preparations are underway to launch the service from the 1st of next month.
