BML Launches Maldives’ First Metal Card with Visa Infinite, Offering Luxury Privileges and Global Access

The Bank of Maldives (BML) has introduced the Visa Infinite Credit Card, marking a historic milestone as the first metal card ever issued in the Maldives. This prestigious product, launched on December 10, 2025, underscores BML’s commitment to delivering premium banking experiences and world-class payment solutions. The Visa Infinite card is tailored for affluent customers seeking refined living, offering exclusive benefits across travel, luxury, and entertainment. Cardholders can access VIP hotel status, fast-track immigration, personalized airport assistance, and over 2,000 premium lounges worldwide. Additionally, they enjoy priority reservations, elite club memberships, and cutting-edge AI-powered services. Eligible applicants must earn at least MVR 127,000 monthly. BML CEO Mohamed Shareef emphasized the card’s role in enriching customer lifestyles, while Visa Country Manager Avanthi Colombage called it a gateway to an extraordinary lifestyle. This launch builds on BML’s legacy as a pioneer in payment solutions, having introduced the first Shari’ah-compliant Visa credit card last year.
