BML WeRun Corporates Debuts First Corporate Relay Race at CROSSROADS Maldives

The Maldives witnessed its first-ever corporate relay race today as BML WeRun Corporates concluded at CROSSROADS Maldives. Organized by WeRun Maldives in partnership with the Bank of Maldives (BML), the event aimed to foster teamwork and promote healthy living among employees of local companies and institutions. Designed specifically for associations and businesses operating within the country, the competition utilized a five-member relay format. Each team member was responsible for completing a one-kilometer leg of the race. To ensure precision, the event introduced a technological first for the Maldives: timing chips embedded directly into the relay batons to record accurate completion times. Eighteen teams competed in the event, consisting of 11 men's teams and seven women's teams. In the men's category, the Track & Field Association claimed the championship title. RunInMode Athletics secured the position of first runner-up, while the Bank of Maldives finished as the second runner-up. RunInMode Athletics also dominated the women's category, emerging as the champions. They were followed by the CROSSROADS Island Sprinters as first runner-up and ADK Synergy as second runner-up. This initiative aligns with the Bank of Maldives' ongoing commitment to supporting national development and social progress.
