Bronze Award for Elite Young Athlete Presented to Umair by President's Family

At the Maldives Sports Awards 2024, the Bronze Award for the most outstanding young athlete was presented to Umair Mohamed Muizzu, a member of President Mohamed Muizzu's family. This marks the first time a family member of the president has won an award in this category. Umair was nominated by the Table Tennis Association for his achievements in table tennis. The Silver Award in this category was won by Zik Hassan Lathif, a table tennis player, while the Gold Award was clinched by Mohamed Rihan Shahim for his accomplishments in fencing.
