Brunei, Hungary, and ISDB Scholarships Now Open for Maldivian Students

International ·
The Ministry of Higher Education has announced the opening of applications for a range of foreign scholarship opportunities funded by international governments and agencies. These scholarships, including programmes from Brunei, Hungary, and the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB), were officially published and gazetted by the ministry earlier this week. The Government of Brunei has invited Maldivian students to apply for its scholarship programmes, with applications to be submitted online before February. The ministry has urged applicants to ensure that the institutions they choose are recognised by the Maldives Qualifications Authority (MQA) before commencing their studies. Additionally, scholarship opportunities are available for studies in Hungary, as well as ISDB-funded programmes. The ministry has also reopened applications for Maldivian government scholarships for students currently studying abroad. However, students awaiting updates on previous scholarship concerns have yet to receive specific resolution dates.
