Bure's substitutes made the difference in Gaadhoo win, says coach Rodriguez

Bure Sports Club coach Christian Rodriguez has credited his substitute players for the team's 2-0 victory over Gaadhoo Recreation Club in the Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League, describing them as the difference in the match. The win was Bure Sports Club's first of the season. The team began the campaign in the Venus Cup but ended that tournament without winning a match, and went on to lose its opening fixtures in the Dhivehi Premier League as well. The victory over Gaadhoo was the side's first since Rodriguez took over the coaching duties. Speaking about the Gaadhoo match, the Spanish coach said the substitutes were the difference for Bure. He also noted that in the second half his team controlled the entire match and played well. Rodriguez said the most important player in Bure's game was Abdullah Yameen (Yaanu). He explained that in the first half he had wanted to use Yameen to take crosses from the right side, but at the player's request Yameen was switched to the left side in the second half. The coach said the advantage of playing Yameen from the left side was taken in the best possible way. Rodriguez said the three points won from the match were an encouragement for Bure to move forward in the season, and he believed the victory would give the team the encouragement needed to achieve good results in the matches ahead. Bure's next league match is against New Radiant Sports Club.
