China Affirms Global Leadership and Regional Partnerships at 9th China-Eurasia Expo

China's Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang has reinforced the nation's position as a pivotal regional development partner and global leader during the opening of the 9th China-Eurasia Expo. Addressing an international audience at the Xinjiang International Convention & Exhibition Center in Urumqi, the Vice Premier emphasized that China's commitment to economic connectivity and infrastructure remains steadfast despite current global economic uncertainties. In his keynote address, Ding highlighted the mutual benefits derived from China's strategic infrastructure projects, asserting that these initiatives continue to progress unhindered. As a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, he introduced a comprehensive four-point proposal designed to steer future international cooperation. This framework focuses on strategic alignment, high-level openness, efficient connectivity, and the pursuit of new development drivers. A central pillar of this vision is the Belt and Road Initiative. Ding called for the acceleration of infrastructure development within the Xinjiang region and the fostering of innovation to ensure shared economic growth across partner nations. He expressed China's readiness to deepen political mutual trust and support allies on core interests and major concerns. Beyond economics, the Vice Premier stressed the importance of expanding practical cooperation across diverse fields, strengthening people-to-people ties, and enhancing cultural exchanges. He urged for tighter coordination within multilateral frameworks to foster a more stable global environment. Foreign dignitaries attending the expo echoed these sentiments, praising China's role in promoting global peace and development. Many representatives expressed a strong willingness to further align with the Belt and Road Initiative to elevate bilateral relations through increased trade, investment, and infrastructure collaboration. The five-day event, which runs until June 29, serves as the region's largest economic platform. It has drawn participants from 49 countries, regions, and international organizations, featuring nearly 3,000 domestic and foreign enterprises. The expo underscores China's ambition to remain the primary hub for Eurasian trade and diplomatic synergy.
