Civil Court Dismisses ADK Enterprises Claim Against Former Spokesperson Ibrahim Muaz Ali

Local News ·
The Civil Court has dismissed a case filed by ADK Enterprises Private Limited to recover more than 200,000 rufiyaa from Ibrahim Muaz Ali, who served as the spokesperson for the President's Office under former President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom. The decision was made because ADK did not appear before the court. The case, filed by ADK in 2021, sought to recover 262,880.52 rufiyaa from Muaz through legal proceedings. According to the court's ruling, a hearing for the case was scheduled for yesterday at 10:00 AM, and an order to appear was sent to ADK. Court records indicate that this order was returned to the company. However, no representative from ADK appeared in court at the specified time, and the judgment noted that no acceptable excuse for non-appearance had been submitted. The court determined that since the plaintiff failed to appear, the case could not proceed. The Civil Court dismissed the case in accordance with procedural regulations and court rules regarding the conduct of trials. The case was dismissed under Judge Hafiza Abdussattar.
