Coach Says New Radiant's 7-1 Win Over Eagles Was No Easy Feat
Sports ·
Despite a commanding 7-1 victory over Club Eagles in the Dhiraagu Dhivehi Premier League, New Radiant Sports Club head coach Francisco Manuel Caínzos (André) insisted the match was not as easy as the scoreline suggests. Speaking to PSM News after the game, the Spanish coach said the result was a relief after two previous matches that did not go according to plan. He credited luck and praised his players for a brilliant performance, noting that the win came from capitalizing on big chances rather than any referee decisions. The match saw Brazilian forward Dorielton Gomes and Ali Fasir each score a brace, with additional goals from Ibrahim Maisan, Abdullah Bilitiy, and Hassan Raif. The 7-1 defeat is the biggest margin of victory so far this season and the highest-scoring match in the league. With the win, New Radiant moved to 11 points from five matches.
