Consultant Sought for Rasmale Transport Masterplan Development

The Ministry of Finance has announced the search for a consultant to oversee the preparation and feasibility study of the Transport Masterplan for Rasmale. This initiative is part of the government's efforts to develop a comprehensive transport system for Rasmale, ensuring sustainable and efficient connectivity within the city and its surrounding areas. The selected consultant will work with the Ministry of Construction to create a detailed plan that addresses the transport needs of Rasmale, aiming to establish it as a zero-carbon, safe, and eco-friendly urban hub. The Finance Ministry highlighted that the project's primary objective is to develop a resilient, modern, and integrated transport infrastructure for the city. Rasmale, envisioned as the Maldives' first eco-city, is currently under development with significant reclamation work progressing. The government plans to complete the reclamation of the island by March, marking a milestone in the project's timeline.
