Dhiraagu Wins Three Major Ookla Speedtest Awards for 2025

Dhiraagu’s 5G service has been recognized with three prestigious awards at the Ookla Speedtest Awards for Q1–Q2 2025. The accolades include Fastest 5G Network, Best 5G Network, and Best 5G Gaming Experience in the Maldives. This achievement underscores Dhiraagu’s commitment to innovation and delivering world-class connectivity as part of its mission to build a digital Maldives. The company, which launched commercial 5G services in both South Asia and the Maldives in 2019, now covers 73 percent of the population with its ultra-fast 5G network. Ookla, a global leader in connectivity intelligence, evaluates network performance using data from Speedtest, Downdetector, Ekahau, and RootMetrics. Dhiraagu has previously been named the Maldives’ Fastest Mobile Network for three consecutive years and aims to expand its 5G footprint to support the country’s digital transformation.
