Director Fathimath Nahula Hails ‘Majunoon’ as a Historic Maldivian Film

Director Fathimath Nahula has described her upcoming film 'Majunoon' as a landmark in Maldivian cinema, declaring it a film that will be written in history. In a Facebook post after watching the completed film, she wrote, 'My heart is filled with joy today. This is again a film that will be written in history.' Nahula expressed confidence that 'Majunoon' stands apart from any other film and may become her most beloved work. She thanked all those involved in its production. Her eldest daughter, Mariyam Eenash Siyan, also praised the film, calling it the most perfect of Nahula’s films and stating it will be written in the history of Maldivian cinema. The film features Ahmed Sharif and Mariyam Shifa in lead roles, with supporting performances from Vashiya Mohamed, Ahmed Eesa (Aanundhu), Sami Hussain, Mohamed Manik, as well as Nahula’s daughter Laali A and niece Aiveli. The premiere is scheduled for tonight at 8:30 PM, with the ceremony broadcast live on SSTVi.
