Eduvest Study Abroad Expo 2026 Opens in Malé with Global University Partnerships
World ·
The 'Eduvest Study Abroad Expo 2026' commenced in Malé on September 4, offering Maldivian students a direct gateway to international higher education. The two-day event, running through September 5, serves as a comprehensive hub for students to explore academic opportunities and secure admissions at prestigious foreign institutions.
This year's expo features a strong regional presence with 11 universities from Malaysia, alongside a prominent institution from Australia. The event is open to the public from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, providing a structured environment for prospective students to engage with academic representatives.
According to Aminath Hidhayath, Eduvest's Business Development Manager, the expo is designed to move beyond simple information sharing. Visitors can explore specific course offerings and, for those who bring the necessary documentation, complete their enrollment process on the spot.
“Eduvest is a company that helps students from the Maldives pursue their studies abroad,” Hidhayath stated. “Our main aim is not only to send students overseas but also to provide career guidance and counselling.”
To incentivize early commitment, Eduvest has announced that every student who confirms their enrollment during the expo will receive a free airline ticket to their destination. This initiative aims to reduce the financial barrier for students transitioning to international campuses.
Eduvest has hosted this annual exhibition since 2019, establishing it as a key resource for Maldivian youth. While the Malé event is the primary showcase, the company has expanded its reach to the atolls to ensure equitable access to information. Earlier this month, Eduvest conducted a similar expo in Kulhudhuffushi City, reflecting a commitment to supporting students across the archipelago regardless of their geographic location.
