Elections Commission Launches 'MY Portal' for Upcoming Local Council Elections

The Elections Commission of the Maldives has introduced the 'MY Portal,' a digital platform aimed at facilitating the registration process for candidates participating in the upcoming Local Council and Women's Development Committee elections. The portal will streamline the submission of required documents and information, ensuring a smoother process for all parties involved. Candidates can now upload their credentials and other necessary documents directly through the portal, after which they will be required to pay the administrative fees electronically. This initiative is part of the Commission's broader efforts to modernize and simplify the electoral process. Additionally, the Commission noted that the portal will also be used to track voter registration and monitor election-related activities. Furthermore, starting from December 1, 2025, records from the Department of Judicial Administration and the Maldives Correctional Service will be integrated into the portal, offering a comprehensive view of electoral compliance.
