Fayyal Health Center's Concrete Work Halted Again Despite Previous Completion

Local News ·
The construction of the concrete works at Fayyal Health Center, which was initiated during former President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s administration, has been halted once again after a change in leadership. Fayyal Council Vice President Mohamed Jalil revealed that despite the completion of major construction works during Solih’s tenure, the project has now been left incomplete. The concrete work, which was nearing completion after the initial phases, has been stalled due to a lack of funds from the current government. Jalil emphasized that even the necessary cement sheets for the construction have not been procured. Although President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu had temporarily handed over the project to the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC), no further progress has been made on the health center’s construction.
