FDC Launches Online Portal to Streamline Flat Registration for Hulhumalé Residents

Residents of Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) flats in Hulhumalé Phase II can now modify their registration details through a new online portal, removing the need for physical paperwork.
The initiative comes after residents reported significant difficulties in updating their registration records. To resolve these bottlenecks, FDC collaborated with the Malé City Council to integrate a digital submission process that aligns with the government’s broader digitalization roadmap.
Hamdhaan Shakeel, Managing Director of FDC, confirmed that all necessary documentation can now be submitted to the City Council via the portal with a single click. He emphasized that there are currently no administrative barriers preventing residents from completing these modifications.
“We have made arrangements to submit all required documents to the City Council online via one click, without the need for any physical documentation,” Shakeel stated. He further expressed hope that the City Council would continue to facilitate an efficient process to ensure residents can finalize their registration changes without further delay.
The FDC project is a massive undertaking in Hulhumalé Phase II, consisting of 32 residential towers and a total of 4,000 flats. Once fully occupied, the development is expected to house more than 30,000 people, making the digitalization of administrative services a critical step in managing the high volume of residents.
