Film Actor Nimal Passes Away After Suffering Stroke

Film actor Ahmed Nimal, known for his contributions to the Maldivian film industry, passed away after suffering a stroke. Nimal, aged 62, was admitted to ADK Hospital on December 31st after experiencing a stroke. He was later transferred to ICU but succumbed to his condition. Nimal had been a prominent figure in the Maldivian film industry since 1984, when he debuted with the film 'Nufoozu'. He went on to act in numerous films and also worked as a director and producer. Some of his notable works include 'Zalzalaa', 'Hithi Edheney', 'Sababu', 'Raani', 'Niumaa', and 'Kanbolu'. In 1991, he also received the National Award for his contributions to the arts. Nimal will be remembered for his significant role in shaping the Maldivian film industry.
