Fire at Hiyaa Tower Flat Renders Kitchen Unusable; Four Provided Temporary Shelter

A fire broke out today in a flat on the 23rd floor of a Hiyaa Tower, damaging the kitchen and rendering it unusable. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said the incident prompted the provision of temporary shelter and five days of food arrangements for four residents. No injuries were reported. The NDMA shared photographs showing the stove area burnt and cabinets above affected by the flames, with walls blackened by smoke. The authority stated that due to smoke in the premises, the four residents were moved to alternative accommodation for one day.
