First Lady Lauds HDC for Hiring 30 People with Special Needs

First Lady Sajidha Mohamed stated on Tuesday that the Maldives is firmly committed to building an inclusive society. She made the declaration at a ceremony celebrating the state-owned Housing Development Corporation (HDC) providing employment to 30 individuals with special needs. The First Lady described the initiative as a crucial step that grants these individuals the long-awaited opportunity to earn an income through their own efforts. She attributed this progress in job creation directly to the current administration's inclusive policies. Highlighting President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's special priority on workforce integration, she expressed confidence that this commitment will bring significant positive change to the lives of people with special needs. The First Lady concluded by urging HDC's staff and management to actively encourage and support their newly onboarded colleagues, recognizing the diverse skills and educational qualifications they bring to the workplace.
