In separate telephone conversations, Minister Iruthisham spoke with Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar and Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath. The talks focused on deepening diplomatic cooperation and reinforcing the long-standing friendships that define the Maldives' regional partnerships.

Minister Iruthisham specifically highlighted India's consistent readiness to support the Maldives during periods of crisis. He noted that the recent INR 30 billion currency swap facility provided by India serves as a tangible reflection of the strong economic and strategic bond between the two nations.
In a similar vein, discussions with Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath centered on the historical ties shared by the two island nations. Both ministers underscored the importance of deepening existing friendly relations to ensure mutual stability and growth in the region.
These diplomatic engagements come at a time when the Maldives is actively managing its regional foreign policy, balancing critical economic support and diplomatic solidarity with its key neighbors in South Asia.
