Former Maafannu South Councilor Aiman Arrested in Sexual Harassment Case

Former councilor of Maafannu South constituency Mohamed Aiman Ismail was arrested today in connection with a sexual harassment case. Police said that when Aiman was brought under their supervision, most of the investigation into the case related to him had now been completed. "He has been brought under our supervision, and most of the investigation stages of the case related to him have been completed, and after consulting with the PG [Prosecutor General], we are continuing to complete the remaining parts," the police said. Aiman's sexual harassment case came to light when his ex-wife revealed these stories on social media last October. The police arrested Aiman as concerns were raised by his ex-wife regarding the strength of the investigation being conducted against him and the fact that he had not been arrested, although no specific reason was disclosed by the police as to why Aiman remained unarrested for so long in connection with this case.
