Four Satellites Launched in Operation to Monitor Illegal Activities in Southern Maldives

In a significant operation to curb illegal activities, four satellites have been launched to monitor and report on unlawful business practices in the southern region of the Maldives. The Immigration Department confirmed that the operation, carried out in collaboration with task forces, involved seizing and verifying documents related to illegal businesses in Gahavoa Hilaa. Officials noted that the operation targeted businesses operating without proper permits, and the confiscated documents will be scrutinized by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade. This initiative aims to strengthen oversight and ensure compliance with regulations in the region.
