Gaddhoo Part Ways With Head Coach Nazeeb After Six Consecutive Defeats

Sports ·
Gaddhoo Recreation Club have parted ways with head coach Mohamed Nazeeb, the club announced on Wednesday. The decision, described as mutual, came after a string of poor results in the Dhivehi Premier League, where the newly promoted side have lost all six of their matches this season, including three at their home ground in Gaddhoo. Club manager Amjad Naseer told PSM News that the contract termination followed discussions between both parties and was based on the team's performance. He clarified that the move was not a reflection of Nazeeb's quality or ability as a coach. Nazeeb was the coach who guided Gaddhoo to promotion to the top flight for the first time. The league is currently on a one-week break as the national team prepares for the SAFF Championship, and the club expects to announce a new coach within that period. Gaddhoo will resume their league campaign with a new head coach at the helm.
