Politics ·
Higher Education Minister Dr. Ali Haidar Ahmed has announced that the government will increase the stipend awarded to students on government scholarships. Additionally, a mobile application designed for students to report complaints and difficulties they face will be launched in January 2026. The Minister shared these updates in response to a detailed report submitted by North Galolhu MP Mohamed Ibrahim (Kudoo), highlighting issues such as delays in stipend disbursement and difficulties communicating with the Higher Education Ministry. The new app, titled 'Higher Education Management System,' is currently in its testing phase and is expected to resolve communication challenges. Furthermore, Dr. Ahmed confirmed that stipends will be revised to better meet current needs, though a specific implementation date was not provided.
