Hajj Corporation Deploys Specialized Teams to Support 1,000 Maldivian Pilgrims

The Maldives Hajj Corporation has announced a comprehensive support framework to ensure a seamless and spiritually fulfilling experience for the 1,000 citizens allocated to perform the Hajj pilgrimage this year. To manage the scale of the journey, the Corporation is deploying a highly trained team of assistants. This support system is designed to handle all critical logistics, including transportation between holy sites, coordination of hotel accommodations, and catering services. Recognizing the physical demands of the pilgrimage, dedicated medical teams will also be embedded within the group to provide immediate healthcare assistance. Beyond logistics, the assistants serve as spiritual guides. They are trained to provide expert instruction on the rituals of worship, allowing pilgrims to perform their sacred duties with confidence and adherence to religious requirements. Managing Director Mohamed Shakeel emphasized that preparation is central to the operation. Every staff member and assistant must complete a rigorous specialized training program before departure to ensure they can handle the diverse needs of the pilgrims. Following the staff training, the Corporation will host awareness sessions specifically for the pilgrims to prepare them for the journey. "Hajj Corporation employees and a team of assistants are recruited and each is participating in the training," Shakeel stated, expressing full confidence in the team's ability to provide comprehensive care throughout the trip. The operational rollout begins this Monday, with an advance team departing for Saudi Arabia to finalize ground arrangements. The pilgrims themselves will travel in four separate flights starting May 15. Each flight will be accompanied by a dedicated team of assistants, ensuring that professional support is available from the moment the delegation leaves Maldivian soil until their return.
