HDC Opens Commercial Spaces for Businesses at Hulhumalé Reethigas Residence

Environment ·
The Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has announced the availability of prime commercial spaces at the Reethigas Residence in Hulhumalé Phase 1, offering local entrepreneurs the opportunity to establish essential services within the residential complex. Three distinct units are currently open for proposals, each designated for a specific service to enhance the quality of life for residents. The available spaces include a 1,031-square-foot unit for a bookshop, a 1,463-square-foot space for a salon, and a larger 1,913-square-foot unit dedicated to a wellness center. HDC has set staggered deadlines for the application process. Interested parties wishing to operate the bookshop must submit their proposals by May 5. The deadline for the salon space is May 6, while proposals for the wellness center must be submitted by May 7. This initiative is designed to integrate convenient amenities directly into the living environment, reducing the need for residents to travel for basic services. By strategically allocating these spaces, HDC aims to foster a self-sustaining community ecosystem within the development. The Reethigas Residence was originally developed to provide housing for HDC employees. The complex is a significant residential hub in Hulhumalé Phase 1, consisting of 459 apartments distributed across six towers.
