The 'Health and Family Expo 2026', showcasing the work of many companies providing health services in the health sector, was officially opened today. Under the slogan 'Everyone together for a healthy and happy generation', the expo was opened by President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu at Hulhumale Central Park. Starting from today, this three-day expo will be held. At the opening ceremony, the President also released a book related to 156 projects in the health sector. Additionally, the President's wife visited the stalls of the Expo and inspected them. More than 60 stalls have been set up, including from hospitals and clinics in the Malé area, NGOs, and regional hospitals within the atolls. The expo will be held every day from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and from 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM at night. The Health Ministry has stated that people will be made aware of health, social, and healthy habits through this expo, as well as gender equality and information needed by all parties in vulnerable situations, and health insurance schemes. Activities include special check-ups for children, information on healthy food, vaccines, and various other health information activities. This is the third year the Health Expo has been held. For this year's expo, the Health Ministry has decided to continue music shows, scary hohola (a traditional entertainment), and various other entertaining activities.
