Hopes High That Buru Clash Will Be Gaddhoo's First Point, Says Nazeer

Gaddhoo Recreation Club coach Mohamed Nazeer has said hopes are high that today's Dhivehi Premier League match against Buru Sports Club will be the game in which his side finally claims its first point of the season.
Speaking at the pre-match press conference held ahead of the game, Nazeer said he is very hopeful of getting a result, and that Buru Sports Club and Gaddhoo are two very evenly matched teams.
"On a good day," Nazeer said, if they play well, both sides are teams of a standard capable of winning this match.
Noting that some clubs in the league have individual players capable of changing the outcome of a game, Nazeer said neither Buru nor Gaddhoo has such a player.
Therefore, he said he believes this is a match in which a result can be achieved if the team plays "with a little care".
In the Dhivehi Premier League, Gaddhoo have so far played four matches. The club has not won any of them and has conceded 12 goals.
Apart from TC Sports Club, the teams Gaddhoo has played so far are the sides occupying the top positions in the league table. Gaddhoo lost 0-2 to Eagles, who are currently first in the table, and also lost 0-2 to third-placed New Radiant. Gaddhoo were beaten 0-4 by fourth-placed Odi Sports Club, and lost 2-4 to eighth-placed TC Sports.
Buru Sports Club, who face Gaddhoo in this match, have also yet to claim a point, and the Gaddhoo match is Buru's fourth game. Of the three teams Buru has lost to, apart from Odi Sports Club, the other two — like Gaddhoo — are DhiDhoo Sports Club and Bissburu Sports Club, who have been newly promoted to the first division.
The match between Gaddhoo and Buru kicks off this evening.
