Hotel Asia Exhibition Opens With 260 Global Exhibitors to Boost Tourism Innovation

The 20th Hotel Asia Exhibition officially opened at the Maldives International Exhibition Centre, bringing together 260 exhibitors from 45 countries to showcase the latest advancements in hospitality and resort management. The three-day event serves as a critical hub for tourism officials, resort operators, chefs, and industry professionals to network and explore emerging product trends. Minister of Tourism and Civil Aviation, Mohamed Ameen, inaugurated the event and toured the various stalls. During his visit, the Minister highlighted the significance of the strong turnout from foreign suppliers and sector experts, noting that the exhibition plays a pivotal role in advancing the nation's tourism infrastructure. “This is something being done within a very established market,” Minister Ameen stated. “New doors are opening for tourism through this exhibition, and new products and initiatives are being launched.” The event features approximately 200 local and international companies specializing in hospitality, resort supply, and the culinary arts. For many exhibitors, the fair provides an essential venue for sourcing high-quality resources and forging strategic industry connections that drive operational excellence in the Maldives' competitive luxury tourism sector. Since its launch in 2008, the Hotel Asia Exhibition has evolved into one of the most successful annual trade fairs in the Maldives. This year's edition underscores the government's ongoing commitment to attracting global investment and integrating technological innovation into the guest experience. The exhibition remains open to the public and industry stakeholders daily from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm until September 30.
