Hulhumale' Cemetery Burials Suspended Due to Flooding

Male' City Council has temporarily suspended burials at Hulhumale' Cemetery due to waterlogging caused by heavy rains. The council stated that when graves are dug, water rises to between 8 and 9 inches, making burial impossible. As a result, all burial activities have been shifted to Male' Cemetery (Male' Aasahara). The Hulhumale' Cemetery has historically been prone to flooding during rainy seasons, and similar suspensions have occurred in the past.
