Hulhumalé Hospital and the Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation have signed an agreement to establish an Urban Primary Health Care clinic in the Amaan Udhaares residential complex in Hulhumalé Phase II. The facility, located in Tower 6, will offer services such as pediatric vaccinations, weight monitoring, and patient counseling. Ibrahim Abdul Razzaq Haleem, CEO of the Malé City Group of Hospitals, stated that the initiative aims to decentralize primary care, reducing the need for residents to visit major hospitals for routine consultations and enabling faster access to specialists through the clinic’s referral system. The project aligns with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's directive to open six general practice clinics across the Greater Malé region, strengthening public health infrastructure and improving access to essential services. The Hulhumalé Phase II clinic is expected to be completed alongside a new facility in the Henveyru district.
