Hulhumale’ Hospital Blames Technical Issue for Reduced Night Shift Allowance

Hulhumale’ Hospital has stated that the reduction of the night shift allowance for technical staff in their September salaries was due to a technical error. The allowance was cut from 100 rufiyaa to 60 rufiyaa. Information Officer of the hospital, Abdulla Maaroof, said the issue arose while changing the software used for salary processing. He assured that the matter is being resolved and that the deducted allowance will be reimbursed to the affected staff. According to the hospital, the 100 rufiyaa night shift allowance for technical staff was established under the pay framework introduced by the Finance Ministry following salary increases for health sector employees in May 2023.
