Human-carrying drone flights demonstrated for the first time in Hulhumalé

Technology ·
China's human-carrying drone flights were successfully demonstrated for the first time in Hulhumalé yesterday. The Chinese company Coolfly demonstrated electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) drone flights yesterday evening in the Kuredhi Hinhun area of Hulhumalé. This was the first event held in the country to demonstrate a flight by an electric drone capable of carrying humans. A large number of people gathered in the area to observe this new eco-friendly transportation system, while the Ministry of Transport also conducted additional flights at 9:00 AM today. eVTOL is the most modern revolutionary change coming to the aviation sector. Unlike conventional helicopters, this fully electric aircraft can fly straight up and land vertically, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere. Since the Maldives is an environmentally sensitive country striving to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, adopting eVTOLs instead of fuel-powered vehicles would be a major advancement for the country's green economy.
