At least two people were killed and 25 others injured in separate improvised explosive device (IED) blasts in Pakistan's Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) provinces on Monday. The first explosion occurred in Panjgur district, Balochistan, targeting civilians in Chatkan Bazaar. Officials confirmed one fatality and 16 injuries, with security forces swiftly cordoning off the area and launching a search operation. In KP’s Lakki Marwat district, another IED blast targeted a cement factory vehicle, resulting in one death and nine injuries. No terror group has claimed responsibility for the attacks. The incidents follow a surge in terrorist activity in the region, with four police officers killed in separate attacks in KP just a day earlier. Pakistan has seen an increase in such violence, particularly in Balochistan and KP.
