IGMH Establishes Special Flu Clinic Amid Rising Dengue and Influenza Cases
Health ·
In response to the increasing cases of dengue fever and influenza, the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has launched a dedicated flu clinic. The clinic aims to provide specialized care to patients exhibiting symptoms of these illnesses. The hospital has reported a surge in cases, particularly among the elderly and those with pre-existing health conditions. Patients are required to first undergo triage at the hospital's emergency department before being directed to the flu clinic. The service operates daily from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM and is located in Consultation Room 10. Health Protection Agency (HPA) data indicates a significant rise in dengue cases compared to previous months, alongside an uptick in influenza infections.
