Villimale’ has concluded its festive children’s evening celebrations, marking the end of a series of community events held during the Eid al-Adha holiday period. The initiative, designed to provide entertainment for children staying in the city or visiting the capital, saw high levels of public engagement over its four-day duration. The festivities were a collaborative effort, jointly organized by the Maldives' security forces and various government-owned companies. The event served as a hub for families, offering a wide array of activities and games that drew large crowds and fostered a sense of community spirit among the residents and visitors. This celebration was part of a wider network of holiday events held across the Greater Male' region. Similar festivities took place in Male’ and both phases of Hulhumalé, ensuring that children across the urban centers had access to organized entertainment. These programs featured a diverse mix of sports, interactive games, and special photo opportunities with popular cartoon characters. A significant highlight of the celebrations was the live music provided by the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) band, whose performances added a patriotic and celebratory atmosphere to the gatherings.
