Khulhudhuffushi City Council Extends Tender Deadline for Airport-Area Restaurant

The Khulhudhuffushi City Council has extended the deadline for interested parties to submit tenders for the development and operation of a restaurant in the airport area of Khulhudhuffushi City. The tender offers the opportunity to lease a 6,000 square foot plot of land located on the western side of Matherikuli, Khulhudhuffushi, for a period of 25 years for the operation of a restaurant. The initial announcement for the tender was made on October 18, 2026. According to information disclosed by the Council, the deadline for submitting tenders is now 10:30 AM on Monday, November 16, 2026. Tenders must be submitted at the office of the Khulhudhuffushi City Council. The Council stated that all documents related to the project will be available for download from the Khulhudhuffushi City Council website in soft copy format. It also clarified that it is the responsibility of interested parties to obtain the latest information regarding the tender through the website. Regarding the conditions for submitting tenders, only entities registered with the Ministry of Economic Development for business purposes and registered in this tender are eligible to submit a tender. The Council has also stated that each party wishing to submit a tender may submit only one tender. The opening of a restaurant very close to the Khulhudhuffushi City airport is expected to provide significant convenience to passengers traveling from that airport.
