Defence Minister Hassan Rasheed has concluded a series of high-level meetings in Saudi Arabia aimed at deepening bilateral relations and enhancing military cooperation between the two nations. During a centerpiece meeting with Saudi Arabia's Defence Minister, Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the two officials reviewed current ties and identified new opportunities to strengthen defence partnerships. The discussions extended beyond bilateral interests to cover critical regional and international developments, focusing on collective efforts to maintain security and stability across the region. Furthering the strategic agenda, Minister Hassan Rasheed met with Abdullah bin Hamid Al-Quraishi, the Deputy Military Commander of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC). This session focused specifically on the urgent need for robust cooperation in counter-terrorism operations. The Maldives and the IMCTC explored pathways to expand joint military exercises and enhance technical capabilities.
