Maldives and Viet Nam Establish Formal Framework for Regular Bilateral Consultations

The Maldives and Viet Nam have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a formal framework for regular consultations on bilateral, regional, and international issues of mutual interest. The agreement was concluded between the foreign ministries of both nations on the sidelines of the high-level segment of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The move signals a strategic effort to institutionalize diplomatic ties between the two countries. Following a bilateral meeting, Minister of Foreign Affairs Iruthisham Adam and Viet Nam's Foreign Minister Dr. Le Hoai Trung exchanged the MoU.
