In the Greater Male’ region, the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Endowments is overseeing the process. Distribution is taking place at the Islamic Centre’s hall daily from 9:30 am to 1:00 pm. Residents of Male’, Hulhumale’, and Villimale’ are required to present their National Identity Card (ID), home address, and electric meter number to collect their allocation. For residents in other cities and islands, the distribution is being managed by local City and Island Councils. To ensure fair access, each household is eligible for one packet of dates until the local quota is exhausted. The Ministry has implemented a distribution rate of 50 packets for every 100 households. This donation is part of a long-standing humanitarian partnership between the two nations. The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre has provided this annual gift since 2004, marking the 22nd consecutive year of such deliveries to the Maldives. The initiative continues to serve as a symbol of the enduring diplomatic and humanitarian ties between Saudi Arabia and the Maldivian people.
