Maldives International Masters Table Tennis Tournament 2027 to be Held in Vaavu Kaayodu

The Maldives International Masters Table Tennis Tournament 2027 will be held in Vaavu Kaayodu next year, it has been announced. The tournament, which is targeted at the Masters category, was previously held in Thoddoo and proved to be a successful event. A special ceremony was held in Kaayodu to announce this edition of the tournament, where the Chairman of Vaavu Kaayodu Council, Ahmed Yousuf, officially announced the tournament. It has been decided to hold the event in collaboration with Iha Table Tennis Academy. Following the announcement, the Member of Parliament for the Kaayodu constituency of the People's Majlis, Neeshad Mohamed, officially launched the tournament. Iha Table Tennis Academy stated that the tournament will bring significant advancement to table tennis in the country from the perspective of the sport, and that there will be considerable benefits for Vaavu Kaayodu. Masters table tennis tournaments are specialized for age groups above 40 years old. In the first edition held in Thoddoo, 85 masters players from 10 countries participated.
