Maldives Islamic Bank Launches Upgraded Faisa Mobile X 2.0 for Digital Banking
World ·
Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has launched Faisa Mobile X 2.0, introducing significant upgrades designed to streamline digital banking and enhance user security for its customers.
The updated application features a completely redesigned user interface, prioritizing accessibility and speed. According to the bank, the overhaul aims to provide a more intuitive experience, reducing the friction often associated with mobile financial management.
Among the new technical additions is "Smart Search," a feature that enables users to find recipients by account number or name during money transfers. This targeted improvement is expected to accelerate transaction times and reduce manual entry errors for users across the archipelago.
Expanding its global reach, MIB has also integrated "Faisa Remit" into the platform. This international remittance service allows customers to send money overseas directly through the app, simplifying a process that previously required more complex steps.
In addition to these functional upgrades, the bank has implemented strengthened security protocols to better safeguard customer funds and personal data. These measures are part of a broader effort to build trust in the digital ecosystem as more Maldivians transition to mobile-first banking.
MIB stated that this launch is part of an ongoing commitment to integrate modern technology into the banking experience. The bank further indicated that additional services will be rolled out through the app in the coming months to provide greater convenience for the daily lives of its clients.
